When a map reaces its maximum item number, when it cant carry more. Just make it respawn.

Ew!!!!
Just delete the oldest item! Quote:Robin:

Why? Just don't let them place anymore. That's the default method and a pretty good one too, imo.
But as to making the map respawn just cause someone tried to place another item over the max map items, is dumb.

Just delete the older items. if they've been there so long, people don't want/need them.

Yeah. Well the map needs to be respawned at certain times. And since the maps isnt so big and max is like 30 items. Id say respawn when it reaches to it.

That just seems like a waste..
In fact.. wouldn't it respawn the NPCs then? Then couldn't a player drop 1 gold, 31 times, to respawn bosses, etc. The limit on PW was 255 per map, so I've never really seen it hit the max before, although just deleting the lowest numbered (oldest) item like robin said seems the best.

just make it so each item has its own time so when it is droped its timer starts then if no one picks it up it will fade away by itself so this way they cant stack up or also make it so if th map get to a maxium ammount of items it will make the oldest ones automatically fad away.

Or just make the oldest one go away when a new one is dropped.. Quote:Robin:

Or just do like PW, make the max map items 255, and then quit pretending like your games will ever actually have enough players to make such a mess on each map.

Actually, having too many items can cause huge lag on a map. In my PW game, people could get free items, but those would have a class-req. As a result, many purchased the wrong item, and dropped it on the first map.
