1. Cannonballs are consistant in texture; even in earlier times. If you look at a picture you'll see that a) the cannonball is smooth or b) it has a consistent pattern or texture.
2. A small (very very small) crack or two would be okay but if a cannonball was cracking, such as in your photos, before it was even it shot it would break when it actually was fired from a cannon. =P
3. Choose 1 light source not 10.
4. No outer glow (unless it's the shadow)
5. Resize the photo to your actual game's sprites.

I dont see what some of the effects are supposed to be... also you have textures that go off the cannonballs on the white that doesnt make sense
