I tried to create a new character. When I press create character the sprite in the top right corner goes blank and nothing happens.

You were supposed to enter your name in the small brown box.

When will you be testing again? I had a lot of fun the last time.

I think I like the maps cause of the open space. I've noticed a lot of the games squeeze so much into one map, which makes it confusing and jumbled when you want to explore or walk around.

Good work so far. I love the goblin camps and the interaction with the npcs.

Nice job ZoSo, those floor tiles in the town shouldn't look like they budge out of the ground too much though.

What's the point of making so many sexy buildings if we can't go inside ;-;

Why aren't maps and shit loaded up in a dynamic array?

Holy...

That looks amazing. How do you do it!?

He uses photoshop to do the sprites, thats how it gets that realistic textures.
You'd find it difficult to get that much texture and detail into materials and tiles with paint, doing each pixel yourself.
Tongue

Also, nice buildings, ZoSo.

The tiles look nice.. but the way you mapped them doesnt seem to fit with the rest of the tiles. It seems like those tiles should either be straight and perfect, or be VERY beaten up and wavy. The slight curves you put it look really bad...

Quote:Well yeah, ive been quite lazy on the graphics.. But DFA has been working.. And he just sent me the latest client, its really smooth.. ive never seen a MS based game start up that quickly.. Takes less than a second. Ive just started working on the graphics again, i played around with the fogs and snow a bit.. and man, just by using your imagination you can do awesome stuff.

I first just tried a green fog, and played around with the effects a bit.. But after a while it led to something alot cooler, its hard to show all this through a screeny.. in motion, its really awesome.. there is basically two fog layers scrolling in the opposite directions.. And adding different effects to these fogs creates an awesome "heat" effect.. makes the map look really hot like the whole forest is on fire.. and then i edited the snow flake graphics into a fireball.. and i got this result.

But yeah, it looks alot better ingame.. so i made a video..

I think those effects are exactly what your game needed. It was great before, but this is the cherry on the top. It's dazzling enough to attract players now who rely on graphics rather than game play.

Combined with the artwork and a new coder....you are golden.
