Selling my computer
#1
Hey if you guys want to buy a new computer to convert to a server I'm selling mine
it was Vista but I have come to hate Vista so I downgraded it to XP Pro.
All the things that come with it are authentic HP products.

Windows XP Professional
Amd Athlon 64x2 4800+
1040 memory
500 gigabyte harddrive
GeForce6150 SE
Lightscribe dvd burner
Keyboard
Optical mouse
^^^The above is limited do to most peoples lacking knowledge of computer specs^^^^

OPTIONAL:
17" CRT moniter
I am selling it for $700 without moniter and $850 with the moniter, I might haggle with the price a little. And we can negotiate the shipping.

I hope you realize that the only thing worth more than like $100 there is the HDD. The whole thing together is probably like $300.

And what the **** is 1040 memory? If you mean MB of memory, I'm staying the hell away from a computer that somehow has 1040 MB of memory.

My laptop has a 17" display and has double those specs (only 250 GB HD, however) and it only cost me 600$.

My bios says I have 1048MB of ram. >.>

Windows says I have 1024 though. XD

So I think we've established that, brand new, that computer isn't worth anywhere near that much. Used? I'd say maybe $200, tops. Only part of any value is the HDD. The rest of it can't even really be scrapped.

What kind of HD and RAM does he have, though? They're probably shit too.

If you mean due to most people lacking knowledge of computer specifications, you obviously haven't been around this forum much.

Hmm, without trying to sound nasty,

I built MR's server for under that price and its spec is better with all new parts, sata II and silent PSU / fans - the lot >.<

Including a £70 case..
