Is there an optimization code that I haven't found or is it just my crappy ass computer that can't handle it when I increase the map size?

![]()

Increasing map size exponentially boosts lag usually.

Not always.. I upped my map size to 24x18 and my FPS went higher. O_o

:? That shouldnt happen Advocate lol More work should mean more lag lmao
But then again you are an odd one ![]() You could try adding something like dirty Rectangles or something, that would defiantly make a difference

It's not much but I think i went to like 16x12 or so and it really slows it down if i map a full map with tree's and rocks and houses and such.

It will if the players ARE the trees.

My maps are currently 30*30 and that happens to cause lag. I will probably change the size to 20*20. That should make some difference, right?

I think you should try using william sharding tutorial it only loads a sertant amount of tiles around you it loads the map first though but it will only keep loadign the tiles around you which will speed up your game a bit and allow you to increase your map size.

Dave Wrote:20*20 maps have 400 tiles.Never really thought it that way, I thought like: from 30 to 20 is 10*10 = 100 tiles ![]() I need to get my math straight ![]() |
