Seems a bit shaky as to how god status will switch. If the gods get extra stats, then it would seem like the only way to kill them would be in teams. Therefore a god would have to be good to the players or get killed, and probably get killed anyway. The entire system would take a tun of regulating, and would vary depending on how many players are in the game. The whole thing in my opinion would fall apart after about the 20 players online at a time mark. A less glamorous, but much more stable system would be to have npc-gods, and doing things like praying makes them happier, and there are invasions etc where you and your god invade another society, and fight them and their god. A compromise would be to have a democracy, but that might not work so well with a lot of people.

Um. No. If the god system gets implemented, it will be for players to be gods. There will be 3 gods. Each will war with each other. You can not be killed by the people you rule, even if you're from separate continents and what not.
Don't assume this is poorly thought out.
Well it seems like the main focus of the game would be becoming a god. Even if you don't plan it that way, people play these games to be, or have a hope to be the best. It seems like the people BENEFIT when the god dies, as it gives them a chance to become the god. I highly doubt it will be the "team leader" thing you are expecting it to be.
If a party kills the god, the party leader becomes the god. I may make something along the lines of party members becoming demigods in that situation. I haven't decided yet. We'll see.
And yes, the entire goal of the game, is to become a god and please the gods. It's not a hard concept.
Yes it is, because nobody wants to play a game so they can be a slave to someone else in the game. It works well in real life, where people have to serve the king etc in order to eat, but in the game there is a log off button, and people will press it.

That's your opinion. There is already a game that has this type of system in it and it's doing very well. Do not speak for the general public when you're too close minded to speak for yourself.
In my opinion people will not play it because in my opinion it will not be fun for the majority of players. Am I allowed to have an opinion about what other people are going to do? Or am I only allowed to have the opinion that you think other people will play it, as that is what you are trying to convince me of?
I can hold my own in an idiotic argument matt, so lets please go back to a normal one. I would like to see this game.

You say you wanna see it but we're wasting our time cause nobody will play it.
I wana see the game you mentioned that already uses the god system.

They're in the process of switching companies. Google ArchLord. Also ask Rian about AL.
The game got a 2.7 review by gamespot..
EDIT: That seems to be an older version, the new one looks kinda cool but I havent seen any mention of a god system, only the basic quests tradeskills spells.
Well, I think that the part you are missing is how will the game play for the regular player. You can put in an epic god system, and it will be really fun for a small percentage of the community, but for the magority they won't have anything to do with it, and it will be either an ego smasher, or just something to be ignored.
A much cooler idea would to have the common people, which in your current system is the players, be npcs. This way you could play as a general role, like a hero in wc3. But instead of an rts style gameplay, the people just kind of come with you like pets, and you can give orders like retreat, attack, kill this guy, kill that guy. You would be able to pick up worshippers or whatever in towns that like you, and would be attacked in towns that didnt like you. Then you could pillage towns and give thier resources to another town to get more people, or save a town and improve your reputation that way.

No.
As for AL's god system, only ONE player per server can be THE ArchLord. Which is the god.
It seems like then the entire system is irrelevant to anyone that isn't the archlord or god, or in close contact with them. It makes a great excuse for the name though, I'll give you that.

I'm done explaining this to you. I've already stated how it would benefit other players and everything. I give up, you're just too fucking dense to understand.
