So he gave the boy $5 back to give the guys, the boy stole $2 and gave $3 back to the guys, so its like they paid $9 ea right?It isn't like they paid 9 dollars each, because they never got the other two dollars. All three guys are missing 66 cents. The boy has them. Soo, it isnt like they paid 9 each, its like they paid 9.33 each currently, only because the boy has 2.
9+9+9 = 27 + 2 = 29
Where did the other $1 go?
Heres the math
Ill use variable abbrevs.
Guy 1 is A
Guy 2 is B
Guy 3 is C
Manager is D
Boy is E
ok
the start is
a=10, b=10, c=10, d=0, e=0
next
a=0,b=0,c=0,d=30,e=0
then
a=1,b=1,c=1,d=25,e=2
So actually,
a+b+c+d+e=30
They did not each pay 9 dollars even though they got 3 back because the boy has 2. The manager and the guys have a total of 28 together, split in 3 is 9 and a third. 9 and a third multiplied by three plus two (9.33 * 3 + 2) is equal to 30, not 29. So one dollar is not actually missing, because the guys didnt actually only pay 9 dollars each when they got the three dollars back, they paid 8.33 each only because the boy has 2 and the manager has 25.
