OK, so i just finished my male sprite, it is really necessary to make a female sprite? I think there would only actually be 1 or 2 female sprites used.

You'll need female sprites for npcs, and as well as female characters. I suggest you have male/female in your game. There are some hardcore female players out there that will feel really left out if they have to be a male in game. Just a tip.
