About Map data.

Hello everyone! I started a game with another game-making-program. So my mapping was okay but I discovered after that Mirage Source. And map data didn't seem to be the same... :?
Code:
Map1.dat

That used to be it for my old game-making-program (example)

But with MS it seems to be different. So I was wondering is it possible to copy/paste only the mapping (tiles and stuff) into the new map.data ?
I'm not talking about the scripts.

What other game making program are you using?

To be able to use the map files and convert them, you'd need to know exactly how the other map file was setup.

Well I've done some research on the forum but there is no definition about MapRec... apparantly it's in the MS source. But what is MapRec? How to reach/get it? thanks ^^

After looking at some Screenshots, I'm almost certain that engine uses Elysium Source.

Well that nice news, I go do some reasearch on how to retrieve some tiles from elysium =p

If they scroll, a lot. If not, just need the maprec and what not. Can't see it being too different from Elysium's maprec, so I'd find a copy of ES and snag the maprec from it.

You may be able to just use elysium. It looks like the guy who made your engine didn't really change much, just translated it. Elysium might have all the features you need, and be open source too. Just a thought.

Whats the difference between Elysium Source, and Elysium Source Diamond?

EDIT: oO man I've looked at Elysiums vbp file and its complicated... Not very well organized and stuff lol. So I think I'll stick to mirage until i'm better at VB^^

Hey, i'm Sh4rk, older moderator on Imaginary world creator (not fake). IWC is a closed source engine, don't use this engine, and the base of IWC is Konfuze Wink And the engine not very advanced, if you are french, use a English engine, it's much better, and translated him to french, it's better Wink
