About Map data. - Kevin49 - 26-08-2009 Hello everyone! I started a game with another game-making-program. So my mapping was okay but I discovered after that Mirage Source. And map data didn't seem to be the same... :? Code: Map1.dat That used to be it for my old game-making-program (example) But with MS it seems to be different. So I was wondering is it possible to copy/paste only the mapping (tiles and stuff) into the new map.data ? I'm not talking about the scripts. To be able to use the map files and convert them, you'd need to know exactly how the other map file was setup. If they scroll, a lot. If not, just need the maprec and what not. Can't see it being too different from Elysium's maprec, so I'd find a copy of ES and snag the maprec from it. It looks like the guy who made your engine didn't really change much, just translated it. Elysium might have all the features you need, and be open source too. Just a thought.
