Paperdolling - Anthony - 08-09-2008 I am going to start working on adding some paperdolling features. Currently we have a naked sprite with underwear, which comes in a few different colors. I want to be able to blt the hair, eyes and clothes onto the sprite. I know I could make a new surface for each one of these and load them separately and then just blt to the proper coordinates but I am under the impression that there is a more efficient way of doing it. Does anybody know the most efficient and memory friendly way of adding paperdoll features? Re: Paperdolling - Robin - 08-09-2008 Pre-rendered. Re: Paperdolling - Anthony - 08-09-2008 So I would load the sprite and paperdoll files then pre-render everything onto the sprite surface and then blt the entire thing as one? Re: Paperdolling - Robin - 08-09-2008 Not the sprite surface. I'd set up a dynamic array which only stores yourself and other players on your map. Simply do a re-dim preserve for new players joining and the same for people leaving. ;D |
