CLOSED: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Coke - 29-02-2008 The second 'closed' Alpha test is open, I'm using the word closed loosely as I invite anyone and everyone here at Mirage to join, however am not releasing it to the public so to speak, as in not posting it on my development blog. Couple of bug fixes have gone into place, there has been no mapping I have been too busy with life at the moment, please feel free to map and edit as you see fit - Alpha accounts are not being deleted so If you see me on MSN and want administrator rights to play around just ask me to come on and give them to you. You can download the client here (Download Removed). Code: ------------------------------------------------------------V1.09 Thanks for your continued support! If you get a particularly nasty bug screen shots are always useful, although unless I know you via these forums currently please don't expect admin as I'm not prepared to let some random muffin wreck the test for everyone. Cheers guys, Enjoy! Edit: The client crash fix didn't work - actively seeking to resolve this now, I know the nature of the issue, trying to get round it as we speak; cheers Egon :] I'll be up for about another hour so if anyone wants admin come on now. Cheers. Re: LIVE: Alpha testing #2 - Coke - 01-03-2008 Sonofa... I thought it was strange the client was crashing outside of the IDE, but never inside of the IDE. Turns out the stupid muppets at microsoft never fully fixed one of their DLL's that is known to cause this bloody problem.. unhandled exception msvbvm60.dll access violation Or something similar, god damnit. Anyone have any info? Alpha weekend is cancelled, pointless if MR can't progress because of muppetsoft ~.~ Re: OFFLINE: Alpha testing #2 - Egon - 01-03-2008 Just because we can't fix one doesn't mean we can't find and fix others. I say keep it up to find others and then fix those. When you go to recode the thing then you can fix the targeting. ![]() Re: OFFLINE: Alpha testing #2 - Coke - 01-03-2008 Servers back up then. Have fun =P Re: ONLINE: Alpha testing #2 - Stomach Pulser - 01-03-2008 Hey, I tested it. Not much difference from last version. You took out enemies though, had to get Egon to warp me to some. Anyways, still very sexy. But, my old char (stomach Pulser) was bugged with an RTE 91, Egon couldn't figure it out. So I had to delete and make new. Also, the new chars still start off on a barrel and if you move left you are screwed. Also, this happened too me: [spoiler] ![]() Lol, I just went in and manually edited the tiles in the Core folder. Might want to encrypt these. Looks to be promising. Main errors: * Old char bugged (RTE 91) - Deleted already though * When some enemies spawn, they appear at one spot (their heads to) for a split second and the spawn somewhere else. (only about 5 ~ 10 pixels of their heads though). Re: ONLINE: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Coke - 01-03-2008 New client is up, loads of new graphics :] (expect the server to be down for another 5 minutes) Question: Where is the player ondead Spawn set? Is it in the account files? Re: ONLINE: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Robin - 02-03-2008 It's a constant value. Search for SpawnMap, or SpawnX or something. Re: ONLINE: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Coke - 02-03-2008 The Target crash bug is now fixed wohoo. Also, all accounts have been wiped due to a minor change. Sorry guys. Re: ONLINE: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Stomach Pulser - 02-03-2008 Still, it is nice to get in and test. Specially when you are on. Easy to report bugs, lol. Re: CLOSED: Alpha testing #2 (Update: v1.10) - Coke - 02-03-2008 The server has now been closed. Thanks to everyone who participated! |
