I think it needs more windows.

And hookers.

I do plan on carefully placing mild sexual content / references. Nothing obscene or highly offense - however I am gearing this game towards a mature audience. Taking in consideration that the world is not 'perfect', I do not intend to create a 'perfect' world.

There will be harsh words and actions between NPC's / PC's creating unique and dark events. I'll always be working towards a balance between positive and negative experiences.

Alright, back to work then!

Today I was in the mood to finally tackle dirt. Creating a proper dirt tile that blends well, uses good color and has that recognizable dirt feel is something I've always struggled with for some reason.

Here is the current stage of the dirt tile I began today. I'm aware the left and ride sides are not meshed with the light grass - I want find a solid base for the dirt before I continue too much work on it.

At first glance the dirt tile seems to look good to me, but as my eyes adjust I can't seem to make a decision on whether to keep it as is, or redesign it / edit further.

What are your thoughts?

I think it's great. I love your GFX work.

I think you should work on it a bit more. It's the same with me. Soon as my eyes focus on them, it just doesn't look right. Dunno what it is about it though..

Agreed. I did some re-blending on the dirt tile and whipped up this quick map to better show the tiles in play. I will also be working on alternate forms of the dirt tile such as misc stones, holes and ruts etc.

A difference you will also notice from the previous picture(s) is the light grass - I made a new tile from scratch to make things look a bit 'grassy-er'.
