Benign Online Art. - Granite - 31-10-2006

Greeting Guys, I have decided to Reveal some sample of the in game artwork for benign Online.

A little bit of changes in benign online in the last four months..

- going from the mirage source look to 8 directional ISO.

- Programming with C++ and ErLang. possibly using Lua For scripting.

- creating the game from scratch instead of using a premade engine.

- using custom graphics instead of the average playerworlds and Mirage
Source graphics.

Without Further hesitation here are some of the graphics for benign Online.

what the game will look like in the game, the tiles need to be tweaked still but since we are going iso and want an animish style we are sticking with that style.

Concept art I drew up and my fiancee colored for me.

in-game looks great. i'm definately going to keep a close® eye on this one. very nicely done granite

- DeJaVu - 31-10-2006

Good Work Granite! I hope for the best for your project Big Grin

Nice choice of colors.

the shadows look a little off however (unless its a mock-up), but the player shadows look like the sun is coming from straight above but the grass shadows are coming from more of an angle.

In a way it reminds me of Dofus or something...

I like it though its different from normal ones here and I like the cartoony look.

- Spodi - 01-11-2006

I really like it, great job!

Edit: Maybe if you add a little bit of texture to the grass so it is not one solid color. Nothing busy, but just at least "something".

now an update on benign's progress, programming is going good and decent, while Graphics wise benign is getting pretty far into it with being 3d now, just a test prototype of our 3d model.
