Yeah nothing great... anyone wanna make me a better one

I got a black box around where it shows sprite then have iit looking like a bubble... and I dont know about the ok button placement.

I think you should do what Dave said with the background behind the npc. But, I don't think you should leave the general form white, I think it should be w/e your gui is for the rest of the game. Also, I wouldn't put it in a form, I would put it in a picture box. It would be better, cause then you don't have a whole 'nother form to deal with. And I think the original ms method with the training/shop forums is garbage.
Just what I think.

Yeah I dont have a GUI on there so I just made it basic but yeah I probably wont keep the BG white. About the black around the npc... there is black around the npc when I blt it cause thats the transparent color... I could always changed that (and im sure I would cause I dont want black transparent) but then it would have another color around it. I guess I could always get the sprites.bmp and change the bg color and rename it to sprites2 or something and then load from that to get rid of the color.
About the color for whatever it is... I only have friendly or shop keepers where you can talk to them. I took it off for attacking monsters... cause who talks to something your trying to kill? Plus when that pops up it stops you from attacking. Anyone know an easy way to have it stop the npc from moving while the chat is up? I was looking around but didnt find anything really. I found player canmove but that doesnt help me.

yeah guess that would work lol...
I only blted the way I knew how... when I did my OGE I learned a little enough to do it there and I dont think it has for transparency... I guess I can look how its done in the game and see if I can figure that out. |
