Lacking perspective as well, it looks to the front while it should be looking from above (unless your making a plataform game and not an rpg)

he probably wants A, because i don't know how you would do b without making it look weird or without a 3d engine (because the sprite moves on the screen.

It's suppose to be from a top down view so if he was just flat straight up it would look like he's laying down on the ground.
