DFA Wrote:Well, its actually started from a total eclipse 1.0 source (which im not too proud of), but that was pretty much a slightly modified Elysium...

I used it to make a game, which helped with a major debug to have an active game running
I spent awhile on a major rewrite of almost the entire engine, and 2 months on just optimizing.

When I said rewrite I didn't mean a slight change or 2 in every sub, i meant heavy modifications that resulted in big improvements and follow proper coding standards/conventions

Right now im currently working on its 2nd rewrite, which features an moderately advanced directX8 system, and the other major components are being rewritten.

In total, its about 8-9 month months of programming, maybe 650 hours? possibly alot more...

I think that the engine is pretty advanced so far, and still has alot lot more to come

As for the GUI, Adrian made them for me (the guy selling a GUI in the buying/selling forum)

But yeah, those screenshots are kinda old, expect more =)

Wow, amazing.

My questions are more towards

where'd you start with your DX8 system?

DFA Wrote:I started it from scratch pretty much, i looked at VBGORE/ORE to see how its done there, and made it pretty similarly, but dont think of it as a copy&paste rip or anything, because it wasnt ^_^
