Uber cute sprite! ^^

Hi guys, Im making a sprite for a game and I tried making a uber cute eyed styled sprite and this where I ended:

It's alright altogether, could have made it better if you spent a bit more time on it.

Where shiny? he only has a light spot in its head, the rest are midtones

Well, they may be midtones but he still comes off as shiny for some reason :\

He has no neck. Why no neck? I noticed that about your sprites. They never have a neck. And yeah, he does look shiny.

My first impression was very shiny also. I think it's because of the spot on his head. The sprite is uber cute though, haha. My only realy complaint, is that he's too cute, because it looks like his legs are coming straight out of his chest.

As for shiney... it just looks cartoonish; i dont see anything wrong with it imo.

And as for the comparison above, thats not a chibi sprite your comparing to the juggernaught its a chibi image, get a sprite and you will see.

I added some hair, and I think the head looks a lot better. Also changed a bit the eyes:

Looks pretty kick ass when it's not bald.

I think it was just the amount of flesh everywhere messed with my eyes.
