As for the other thing you posted, I think you need to soften the border around the head and sword or sharpen the border around the robe, they just don't match.

Other than the lack of a torso, legs, and arms, he looks really nice.

Might want to put some variation on the leaves - I can see that they're the exact same cluster just colored over for both the trees and the plants.
