GameName
#1
[Removed - Robin]
#2
Set the game name via the server and send it over in the very first packet. Otherwise, they can change it via the client.
#3
What would it matter if they change the game name and what's the point of having a game name read from an ini file?
#4
It's only useful if you're creating an Engine. In which case, the game name would be set via the server and the server should update the client with the game name so players can tell the different between the server they're connecting to..
#5
I just posted exactly what I was asked for from Kuervo they can advance it how ever they want.
#6
Advance it? Your code is pretty much useless. All you need to do is have the client connect to the server, receive a packet that has the game name in it, then display it accordingly.

Your tutorial doesn't show how to set the game name from the server, because the game name is set as a constant in the client. All you're showing people is how to read text from an .ini file, and we've got plenty of those types of tutorials from 5 years ago. I'm removing your tutorial because it doesn't do what you said it does, and what you have done is so poor.

Thanks,
Robin
