You should really try and make it less obvious that it's done in vbGORE.
That default font & GUI style is pretty ugly.

OK,
But were not even a month in developing, and I kinda liked the GUI
where ae the 6 dots on krillons head or how ever you spell his name

Why do you have a number 1 after your name and why didn't you spell it with a capital D?
See, he's not the only one that's not perfect.
I am just going to guess at this one, but that seems like just a generic person. Not any specific character.
I would add more to the gui as well... make it different than most vbgore games and all green is kinda bleh
but its your game good luck

The shadows the players cast, is 2x their size, and the trees don't cast shadows.
A new GUI, it isnt programmed in yet but you can click those tabs and so hide the windows, tell me what you think
i think it looks good and i wish that this game gets released !
:3
wow thanks! I never expected a reply like that. You made my day!

they want a 100% perfect game.. developing games is our hobby and we are no professionals, if anyone want a perfect game, develop one on your own and stop bitching ^^
back to topic:
vb gore supports dx8?
if so then i could offer you a gui i made a while ago, havnt used it for anything
you'd get the .PSD file so you can make changes if needed
That would be awesome thanks!
Only thing is, I dont have photoshop, I do everything in paint..
The HP/Mana window looks very good.
lol paint is great, but making that shadow was hard, I manually darkened the grass in that form, lol, when I think of it, thats crazy.
But with a white background would be awesome thanks! Ill credit you for it..If you want of course
A member of our forums made us a nice GUI, but were planning on using both and users pick the one they like
So heres our new Gui:
Oh and Punika, I could still use the status window..
Can I just say switching the + and - signs to opposite sides of the GUI section headers is probably a bad idea as its bending the point of heuristics and seems like its being unintuitive just for the hell of it xP
Also changing the pixel distance from the edge of the header and those two buttons looks untidy, so perhaps that's something else to address before you implement it. By changing this and the aforementioned side of the buttons on the... whatever that big box is, would allow you to make the top of that window a lot smaller and it would look more snug.
Hmm, the pink outer glow on the florescent blue chat bar hurts my eyes a tad, and there seems to be a lot of wasted silver space on the bars up the top left - when an interface gets in the way its a bit of an arse, so following that chain of thought I'd say the massive lime green bottle opener shaped backing to the vital bars is a tad intrusive.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks for the feedback, and this is just a beta, everything will be hideable too and some parts like the +/- will be moved or deleted. I cannot see the pink out glow and the status bar will be different, way smaller. Im in a hurry but thanks
