Shade is really easy to do since we're using DX8 and we're able to change the alpha so that it will make it appear darker.

Alrighty, Time to update this topic.
Well, I'd like to start by saying I am happy with the progress while I am out of the loop (I have had no power due to the hurricane that hit Houston) Currently, We are in the mapping phase still, but progress is smooth. The first town is close to being finished. Skylor Castle surroundings and Entrance is completely mapped. We are also adding some new tiles to the set (When I get power back) to the city-style tiles. The programming side of things - John is working hard on the programming for us, He can add to this topic of what he wants to release. Also, Those who app'd to become a mapper, we are currently going through each of you to select who is qualified for us, so hang tight ![]() I will add screenshots at a later date of the new stuff going on! Another quick update :
First, Progress has been super smooth this past week, alot of accomplishments have been made! Second, We switched from 'Sliding' Maps to Seemless maps (Think of one big giant world) There is no loading times in between maps, EXCEPT Battlegrounds, Arenas, Dungeons, Insides of houses. Third, We have began work on the 2nd town, Triton. Triton is located in the Gurubian Desert on the north-east part of the continent. It is the 2nd starting town from when you create your character. Also, We are currently looking to recruit a Designer, This job entails new ideas for the game. ![]() I would like to introduce A new boss - The Machine He is one of the bigger bosses of Eretz. His temple is in the Hidden Factory. He is part of the higher level dungeons, Level 60+ to be exact. Enjoy the update!

Well, Time to update ya'll on Eretz
![]() These past two weeks have been a bit sluggish for us, I was on vacation, and a couple others been having personal problems, BUT, we are back rollin on the river with new updates for ya! #1 - I just received the new client from John/Liz, and I must say, I havn't been this excited since the very first client. We intergrated the map editor for Easy map making for us, as well as map huge improvements to the seemless maps ![]() #2 - Triton tiles are about 90% complete, Thus triton will be mapped out shortly and screenshots will be posted when that happens ![]() #3 - We are soon to have an official website #4 - We MIGHT ( I stress MIGHT severely, Depending if i can get the team to agree) allow ONE (I stress one as well) lucky forum poster to check out what has been done with the client already. ATM, They will only be able to walk around the current maps, chat with the admins/moderators/developers and get a first hand look at the progress. -The Eretz Team

Update List 1. Optimized some game loops 2. Changed some settings so it runs completely smooth 3. Added Auto-Updater 4. Added more surroundings around Skylor Castle, as well as Milen almost finished 5. Working on Dungeon #1 6. Public testing about to be in progress - Notes for public testing - 1. No enemies/NPC will be ingame, YET 2. Limited to skylor castle, The surroundings, and the town of Milen 3. Ability to chat, walk around, view the scenery, bug test, and chop bushes! 4. Public beta will last until -Indefinite- at this moment. Check our forums

The time has finally arrived. The first public test of Eretz!
The current things you can do ingame are : 1. Cut Bushes 2. Walk around 3. Chat with other online players 4. View what is currently in Eretz. The purpose of this test is to show the players how Eretz will run, How it will look, Bug test, and stress test our server. We are hoping for a good turnout! Please check our forums for download link! Please report any bugs on our forums. Also, if you need help running Eretz, Also please post your problem on our forums. -The Eretz Team |
