AVI to DVD converter + burner

I used a really good one called Free DVD Creator. I used it for a couple of weeks before it asked me to put in a unique code everytime I wanted to convert something. In the end I got sick of it and just uninstalled, but I can't find anything to convert my AVIs to a DVD format.

Anyone got a torrent link to a registered version of the software I used, or something just as good?

Only thing I've ever used is Windows DVD Creator, which comes standard in Vista and Seven. The only thing is, it converts it, burns it and deletes the converted files. So, you have to go through the long process each and every time, which sucks hardcore.
