What's wrong with giving an honest opinion?

I think it's BS that if someone posted something he wants rated, everyone that rates it < 6 is flaming.

They look like they're somebodies first attempt at pixeling, and I def. wouldn't use them in my game.

(And to everyone who gave him an 8, I don't know what the hell you base your ratings on. If gfx are decent-looking I rate them a 6, you're telling me these gfx are above decent?)

Well, I don't like them either, colors are too strong, shield is as big as the armor, helmet is very small and they look runescapish, so i say 3/10

I used one of zosos tuts to help me learn to make Items, they are used as 2 Handed weapons i the game

(To be honest, I'm doing my best to avoid pixel art of my own. It never turns out right, which is why I'm asking my staff if they know a decent pixel artist who would be willing to join us. XD)

You're trying, which is more than can be said for some people who start a project. . . Not to mention the fact that with a little bit more practice, you could update those items to be superb.

It's a good start, but you should try modeling them after real life photos and keep them consistent with their outlines. (Some have black outlines, some have deeper-color outlines, some have no outlines, etc.)

I'm definitely not the best...but I like to try and help. Also, I think I made the shield just a bit too small now that i look at it. :/

You should, imo, keep the shield and sword the size they are and just make the armor and helmets bigger to match the size. It would leave more room for detail and would in the end, make your graphics look much better.

i dont have as much experience & natural talent in this crap as you vans...but i gave it a shot. >_>
Although now that i think about it...working from a picture of something does help alot with making some things.

He kinda gave it a 3D look, Which is pretty cool, and now when I look at it zoomed it seems simple Im not great with shading, so I wouldnt know how to do any of that yet.
