I like the transparent Menu. The hotkey bar is bland though.

That happens to be the symbol for the Quebec flag (which is where i was born), among other things.

I don't know could really think what to put for a menu button you click the center one it brings up the menu you see above it, click the one on the right hides the tool bar click the one on the left it hides the whole gui, im open for suggestions as to a better menu button

I think it looks very nice, I like how you did the HP/MP bars, haven't ever seen that before. But maybe I would suggest shrinking the Quebec symbol even a bit more than in the style 2 and maybe make the menu appear when you press esc or something? I would give it a 9/10 Smile. And Vans, you never do say anything nice... Ever Tongue.

Well well, doesn't everything look ugly to you? If your going to say something is ugly then tell him how to make it better, otherwise just don't say anything at all.

The symbol's pretty big, and takes up a lot of space. You may want to make it smaller.

You did know that having it alpha blending like that is impossible unless yo want a laggy DX7 game or create a hybrid / full DX8 engine?

No that screen shot is not an actual in-game, I should have said so if that was unclear right now I have no idea what I'm going to use for a base source, but if what my mock-up is showing isn't possiable how can I make it so it would work in a mirage or mirage spin off engine?

From the layout it looks like it would do well in Spodi's vbGORE

As I said, you would need to add some DX8 capabilities.

DX7 does support alpha blending, but it is slow, resource eating and looks poor.

At one point I just had the base client with spells added over the top on DX8 polygons so I could alpha blend them and stuff.

Hmm does vbGORE support DX8? If not is it a pain to convert mirage to DX8? If it is I don't know if I'd rather spend the time/money to convert mirage to DX8 because i hate vbGOREs map editor

Verrigan Wrote:Constructive = suggesting ways to resolve issues..

You were being more confrontational than constructive.

On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being confrontational, and 10 being constructive) I'd give you a 3.
He actually asked for opinions not for critiques, and I said my opinion

It's not hard to convert.

If you know Mirage pretty well.

You just gotta work hard at making it easy for developers because of texture sizes and what not.
