What makes you think it isn't being released under equal ownership between me and Jacob? I build communities and websites, and it just so happens the only announcements of its release are coming through the website I'm building for it. I may not be responsible for the later code in MR, but I sure as hell am responsible for the direction it went.
Saying he has put ALL the effort into Mirage Realms is quite insulting. We decided to release the source as both of us have bigger future plans, don't talk about something you know nothing about.
The same goes for Konfuze. The website and community that Konfuze was built on was designed, raised and strictly moderated by me. If you remember at the time we had a fantastic website and a flood of newcomers constantly - I was advertising everywhere (even in the local paper) and working my arse off to keep the site and community fresh. The product was pushed forward by me. The product was created by me, and Sean was dragged onto the project by me. As for letting me keep my spot? lol.
If I have to step on some toes to get people outside of our little communities to find MS then that's completely Ok with me, I'm not here to win a popularity contest - But don't tell me I have put nothing into MR when its the project I've worked on for the last 3 - 4 years, thinking its just a case of "oh Jacob, code something cool plz kthx muhauhauahuaha" is pathetic.
I have respect for Rian, and I'd love to of helped revitalise things here - but who needs me when we have people like Matt eh.
I don't see this as being dirty as the vast majority of people I would show loyalty towards have already left because this place is fucked. There aren't enough people I care about left for me to have any second thoughts as if people start finding MS through MR - I want to make sure its supported properly.
Its not a membership race, I've nothing to gain. MS on the other hand has everything to lose, and its not going to.
I only wish to maintain a mutual respect. It is what it is. I encouraged people to choose sides the first day I inherited this place, now all I ask is that the two sides just leave each other alone. Progress can't be made here in the midst of all the drama. I'm so sick of all the drama.

Why does everyone assume I'm a bad mod? I've literally done nothing around here other than ban Robin and DFA when Jacob told me to. You guys are all fucking retarded for creating things in your head that you think I MIGHT do and holding them against me.

BTW I repsect both Coke and Sonire. In my opinion, this forum is dying and no one is even attempting to save it. Coke is only trying to have people regain interest in Mirage, and so be it that it is somewhere else. It is something that happens.
As for him being a bad community leader, the days of Konfuze were the most fun and laid back time I have ever had with anything related to Mirage. As much as I love Sean, when he took over it went bad. Liam is good at running communities, you have to give him that if nothing else. I will remain active on both forums, and I believe that Sonire runs this community well for what it is. But what it is needs to be made more likeable for new people to come to. In honest opinion, the original source or even MS4 alone can not compete with what is in Mirage Realms. It has still not been made appealing to anyone besides a good coder or someone really interested in learning. From my time programming Mirage Realms, I know that Liam, Jacob and I made it very clean for the amount fo stuff packed into a cramped and messy base.
I think this community can survive along side Mirage Realms and co-exist peacefully, it just needs to get a new face and go on things besides word of mouth.

Everybody chill the fuck out. Mirage Source has been prospering for a while (Compared to the state it WAS in), so I feel that this topic seems to just... Stir things up once more. Really though, I don't feel that this community is ready to handle serious topics due to it's fragile nature. Is there a good reason why we can't all just accept what's happened and at least TRY to fix this? Because all I've seen in the last few weeks is a lot of people complaining, and no work getting done. If you want Mirage Source to survive, at least make the effort. Start making some tutorials, start making some games. What is this community without it's games, the actual purpose of this site?
