Ok I'm getting tired of coloring. but... here is the newest screenshot.

Been reading all the suggestions, and I think each attempt is getting a little better. Wish I could take credit of the sheep, but it is my Fiancee who is doing the sprites.

Agreed. Should try to make it more cobble stone than brick. Would fit the style a lot more.

Thank god you got rid of those super bright, kill my eyes, colors. Big Grin

This is starting to get pretty cool Big Grin

I agree with Matt, make some cobble stone patter for the walk ways. The bricks look great, but I think they're better suited to be used as the side of a building Tongue

Did not get a much coloring done today, but spent some time flipping around my GUI as I'm in the process of re-making it.

First let me say... I fluked out big time on the last bricks you seen, because It was one hell of a time making new bricks/cobblestone that looked decent.

Not a lot else is different in this screen, just played around a bit with tiles I already made. Oh yeah, I added a dark green trim the the overlapping grass that goes onto the path, I think it makes it look a bit sharper and more obvious its the grass who is on top.

... I don't think I have spent this much time in paint in my life

First of all, there are a lot of variations of Cobblestone... (did you want pictures?)

And secondly, just because I still play with crayons doesn't mean I'm too stupid to know what Cobblestone is. I realize those new tiles are still more brick like (and all the same color), but they are the best that turned out, I tried making more spaced out and various rocks like the picture you showed there, but it was hard to make something that looked nice and flow from tile to tile.

I didn't say it looked bad, relax.

Just saying, still, that with this style of graphics, cobblestone would look 10x better.

his path looks like that, and cobblestone in philly looks very close to that in some places as well. Dont mess with the quakers, they know their cobblestone.

Hey if you said they looked bad, wouldn't have bothered me (take no pride in being an artist) . Your post was very brief and left a lot up to interpretation, I made the assumption you were taking a shot at me. That's the bad thing about the internet, I guess. Thanks for responding Matt.

Nah, just giving you an example of what I meant when I said cobblestone.

Those houses actually look good.

The house furthest north, with the sheep right next to it's door is a bit off, but other than that it looks great

They're a bit bright for my liking but no worries (that's why Photoshop & Paint.NET were invented).

Haha and to think, they have already been toned down.

I love how bright they are tbh. That's part of the reason LoZ:WW is my favorite game.

This game needs to be called Pro Crayon Drawings Tongue

It doesn't even really look like crayon...I think you need to make some more messy stuff.

It would really look a lot better with DX8, because DX7 only works well with fine edges...

I've heard that a couple times now. Something I will look into. Might not get to it right away, but I will.
