Thanks!
Jack Wrote:the gun images just look like 2d versions of the counter strike source guns.
a Defender (terrorist gun)
a maverick (counter terrorist)
and the ak 47 (terrorist gun)
yet u have done them to some detail, so they look ok.
you could use them with paperdolls, but i doubt anyone would.
All the other pictures look good btw , but the GUI looks way to grassey for my liking.
maybe because they are based on real guns D: That couldn't be it!
First one is a FN FAL with a shortened foregrip and wire stock, second is a regular FN FAL, third is a wierd M16, and fourth is an AK-47

i know what type of gun they are, i was just saying that they look like css guns, which i like, css was a good game.
lol, sorry, i'm just getting a bit pissed off because it seems nearly all my art work i have done lately, someone has compared it to another game. For some reason, that pisses me off.
all well
oh btw,

I said it looks like the tiles. Not that they were exact.
What I mean, is you have three tiles, each with 1, 2 or 3 puffs of grass.
lol, idk, i just have problems
anyway, looking at some new colors.

Having edited some old Zelda tiles back in the day, I can pretty much guarantee he used Zelda grass tiles as reference.
Not that that's bad! I like how you are mixing the kinda zelda style simple grass tufts with the SoM grassy patches, looking good.
I AM!!! o.0 :o
lol, but these were kind of my concept:
![[Image: TileTestMapx2mag.png]](http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m93/Dustin99/TileTestMapx2mag.png)
And
i wasn't sure what game they were from. But my creativity sucks, and they were kinda like the style i was going for so i used them for concept. Dr. D from XW showed me the shots.
Although, i was trying not to be to similar, but they pretty much nailed what i wanted :S
ok, just did this lil guy for a friend, i call him Tim!
Tiny Tim away!

Sorry, but that looks flat and lifeless.
Give it some more life.

It's a digital picture, it's about as alive as it's going to get...
But in all seriousness, I generally tend to go for a very simple basic style, so I don't add in to much.
And, I suppose I'm an artistery moron, since I have no clue on how to give it "life". I've never taken an art class -_-
Please give examples, tis the only way I can learn, well and definitions... :S

There's absolutely no contrast. Your colour choices just blend together to give the interface no definition. It's just a blob, really.
Get a better colour choice, and use the least amount you can. The less amount of colours, the easier the eye can pick out contrast and build the image in their head.

The colours are too similar. They just blur.

It's the same old stuff. You're using two greens which look terrible together.

heh, well the last one was a sarcastic one, it looks like shit in my opinion too.
I like it, and i can't seem to figure out what the fuck your talking about so... i'll just stick with that until someone else comes along and if i can understand what they are trying to tell me.
ok, messing again, sorry bout being a bitch lol, i was a tad tired and cranky...
Anyway, hope this has more contrast (note, not to be used as a real GUI, just practice...)
