I can appreciate what you were trying to do, but the font is just bad. the whole idea of the falling letters is no good. It looks like you just put a few pictures on there, turned the contrast up, then just used the mosiac tiles filter and set the opacity to like 60%. It's not a bad start, it just needs a few improvements. If all you do is add a few photoshop effects, people will notice 
Just spend a little more time with it... read some fancy tutorials and improve it a bit and i'm sure it will be an original GUI.
