You're right matt, people didn't have PCs before the 80s. They were called Mini Computers way back when.

And I have no idea if Adventure has a proficiency system, just pointing out the MUDs have been around since the 70s.

The first GRAPHICAL game to do a proficiency system, is FF2.

The VERY FIRST game to ever do a proficiency system, is Dungeons & Dragons. Wink

Every single game ever created is a rip off of D&D, so nothing is original at all.
