Would be better if you blitted the player's sprites if you hover over on the team player's name.

I really see no point in that. The little icons show you the class..

Obviously to give a visualization on who that player is.

But what if there are like 3 thieves in your team.. oh wait does all the sprites look the same?

Yupp. Now you see why there's no point in it.
