Yea, whenever you moved your mouse to the bottom of the screen this stupid bar would come up. The best thing to do is end explorer.exe, and remove it from startup.

I have everything I need in my start menu, with easy-access in my Quick Launch bar.

I never have my desktop open by itself, so there's no point putting icons on it.

Same. Hell, I start most of my programs through the run prompt.
