I too miss the old days of Mirage Source where it was all help and everyone was learning and there was no true power besides Shan and you. It was a big happy family.
Sadly, with all the new sources like Elysium, it has destroyed what Mirage Source tried so hard to maintain.
I wouldn't mind trying to rebuild the community to like it used to be... But that'd take a bit of effort. People would have to not be lazy anymore. We'd have to weed out the people that are here just to copy and paste, we could teach them actual ways of programming like we used to.
I'd say ban sources such as Elysium where it's all done for you. That's one big problem this community has. My own creation destroyed this beautiful place... Who would have known
Fix up the tutorial sections 'again'. Weed out the doubles of the tutorials. Only allow tutorials that have been reviewed and check by a mod or a "code analyzer" before having it in the official tutorial sections.
Post more competitions. Post more in the sections besides chit-chat, rants and raves, and staff =P
Ask the community what they want... etc.
