Over the years I have seen so many RPG games start up and have seen very little of them completed. I would say less than 10%.
Do you think you are gonna finish yours (why?) and how long do you think you are gonna take to finish it?
Month to Two months for me.
Might be longer if I can't buy a computer to host with yet.
I think alot of people never finish, because they want to add a #@%!-load of in-game content befor release. I Just want to get the initial engine done, and a decent amount of city. Shouldn't take as long becasue I have 2 mappers beside myself that are also online almost as much as I am; Also since all my zombies are randomized, that's alot less NPC placement for me.
Everything after that is just expansion.

NarutoRealm is already released, sorta.
It was up for a week and it was basically scrolling maps, a buggy walking engine, non-working PKing, no leveling, no attack animations, no running animations, visual shop and a bugged out jutsu system.
And people loved it.
Right now I'm developing alpha, which is going to plan.
It's have the new leveling system (totally different than anyones)
Loads more jutsu's.
New Gui
Attack animation (if kuja finishes it)
Running animation (if kuja finishes it)
And we're gonna change all the current male paperdoll items over to the female, and I'll program it so it will show the right gender graphic (awesomeness)
And that's probably it...
Then I'll release anything I randomly add in big patches. (I save everything up so I release patches not very often)

Why aren't maps and shit loaded up in a dynamic array?

the 4 people that know how are lazy
Robin:
Who are those 4 people?
Jacob:
um
you, me, and 2 others?
I'll only finish 'mine' with alot of help from other people, but everyones been supportive so far so things are going nicely,
its a hobby, so no schedules or goals :]

Well, I wrote a design document, heck I even uploaded the template to the forums. I guess that the reason I can't ever finish a project is due to a lack of motivation.

Lol, I actually learnt something from this topic. "You dont need to finish everything before release. You can always make updates." For some reason I never really liked the idea of making updates, but in the end I think a game is doomed if they are to finish everything before release.

Yeah if it takes too much time. I will release my game when the gfx is complete.
