switching to time based modeling?
#1
Has this been brought up yet? I have been reading through the documentation and progress is good, but this seems to be a simple thing that has been overlooked. As far as I can tell modeling is still done based simply on FPS of the computer and not a set time limit and speed. Am I wrong on this?

Pretty sure DFA added a timer to control the GameLoop parts.

Why aren't maps and shit loaded up in a dynamic array?

Robin:
Who are those 4 people?
Jacob:

A lot of extra work to save like.. 1MB on the exe,

With broadband speeds at what they are today, I wouldn't bother. A Single wow Patch is 1000x the size of anyone here's zipped client...

The only moderately large client I've ever downloaded that was MS based was about 30 megs, and that was due to 2389472894723897428974892374 music files that weren't ever used anyway >_>;
