rte 429 with vista

Ok i get this while using vista, its rte 429 active x cannot create component, i bealive its because i need to get direct x 7 which i can seem to do because when i download it it says my windows version is not compaitable with the setup package, so i cant really win either way, iv tried getting DX7VB.DLL and registering it, it was succesful in registering but still get teh same error, iv also registered teh libary files.

I can assure you this is not a problem from the code in the engine as it was coded by robin lol

Please can any 1 help

I haven't touched any of the released sources.

3.0.3 + 3.0.7 are before my time, MSE1 was when I was a newb and MSE2 is Williams.

All I do is administrate the forums.

Yeah, but I meant it's not an unsupported control or anything, all he has to do is register it.

He also needs to have DX7 installed, which he says he can't do.

But I did, and others have, so I'm not sure why.
