World Map
#1
This is how all the maps will be aligned in game. Much easier to start mapping when you know exactly where they should be located with the map number etc Smile

Each map size will be a little bit smaller than those on the beta. So you will get a perspective of the size of the game.

Hehe, cool. I do the same thing for Silverdale.

Allthrough i dont like the randomness.. I mean, they jsut dont seem seamless as you cant walk straigth north or so on.. i hope you get what im trying to say Tongue.

Or all the blue is water?? If it is, then it makes more sense.

All the blue is water, so it is seamless. You will always see water around you when walking towards a border. You see the 3 bridges (15,60,124) that are not connected to a land on both sides. Those are harbours so you can travel by ship.

I hate when it just turns black too in borders, therefore water is a must for a game.

Im still not sure if the map should be so wide on certain places though. Like on contitent three, with map 69 and those. Might make them 4 in map width or something instead.

The top left one is faaar too rectangle for my liking.

Why aren't maps and shit loaded up in a dynamic array?

Robin:

Jacob:

Its the walking path towards the gate to heaven. There will be traps and such there. So it should be kinda straight forward.

Will the world expand on what you have? because its extremly small and people will explore it in a matter of days.

Oh, if its water then awesome Smile.

And yeah, as Fabzy said... even 120-140 Scrolling maps is not enough.. trust me xD.

On top of the maps shown there, there will be about 3 huge castles, and many houses with many floors. As well as many caves. All these together will probably add up to an extra 100 maps or so.

But of course, there will be addon worlds to the world if its shown to be too small.

And you will not be able to explore the maps in some days. The bridges wont let you past unless you completed certain quests and are above a certain level. And leveling will take time in the game, at least after the 10 first levels.

Yeah, thats why I have the bridges. So you need to finish quests and such before you can move on. But k2h will be very big and once level 70 is reached, and all quests are done. You can reborn and start with a boost in stats at level 1 and become even stronger.

Even after all these maps, plus the other 100 or so, he still has to map Heaven.

(Unless people can't actually get to Heaven..)

Heaven is only 1 map. It will allow your character to reborn or not. Although might add a few more maps up there, with Heaven monsters so you can keep exp at some difficult enemies.
