Multiple Players on Map
#1
If you wants to test a feature that involves multiple players, but, you can't get anyone besides yourself, I have a quick solution.

Make sure that you comment out any code that doesn't allow you to run two clients on your computer. Then, build your client.exe. Make sure that you have two accounts both having at least one character. Run the client once and login under account1, run a second client and login under account2.

Now you can test things that involve more than one character (i.e. a 2 player minigame, p2p trading, partys, dueling, etc.)

Haha Dave..

Or you could just compile one client and run the other one from VB :p.

But my way only requires a client, not the client and the source.
What's wrong with Dave?

Possibly Aids.

I actually never thought of this.

I do this anyway, as I don't stop people from running two clients at once.

If people have the skills to handle two players at once as an advantage, I think they deserve the benefits Tongue

Bounce one of your clients off a proxy to make sure it doesen't fall over with an external IP... personally never did it, Robin programmed all my stuff and we tested it together... i complained and made him change things.. but it all worked out in the end =P

OR -brainwave-, call me old fasioned; but you could just make a friend.

I'm left handed and use both.

Makes for a bit of variety in life.
