Stupid Hosting Issue
#1
I think it's some retarded Vista process for more 'security'

I have the same settings on my router as I did on my XP computer, UDP/TCP ports 7234 opened, and just to be sure, Allowed the Server app. + UDP/TCP Ports 7234 with windows Firewall.

All other Firewall Programs disabled.

And nobody can connect.
It worked fine on XP.

That's what I don't understand about Windows Vista. I was able to run a server people were able to connect to using WINE on Linux but yet Vista won't.

There are multiple people with the same issue you're going through right now and, quite frankly, nobody has figured out how to get this to work. At least not to the best of my knowledge. Most I can suggest you to do is to install Windows XP ... or get Linux.

I'll prolly jsut buy an XP computer. I just need bare specs with some decent RAM.

It's good jsut for me to keep an XP computer around.
For storage too.

If you need help setting it up as any other kind of server, let me know. I'm fairly decent when it comes to that.

See, nobody told me this issue with MS, so I never looked into it. I got really bad sun burn right now, but when it's gone and done with, I'll look into this.

I have home premium, and I can't anymore.

I figure it ssome stupid Port Blocking service, but I can't find it.
I also can't use NBTStat outside of my home network, or ping anybody.
