Pixel Art - Braydok - 01-05-2007 I like to pixel, here is some of the stuff that i did just today: Steel Sword: ![]() Used Square Shield: ![]() Square Shield: ![]() Spiked Kite Shield: ![]() Hammer: ![]() Rocket: ![]() Leaf Blade: ![]() King's Shield: ![]() Kite Shield: ![]() Forest Shield: ![]() What do you think? 1/10? I found a tutorial somewhere and used it, it really helped me. ~Braydok - Da Undead - 01-05-2007 Not bad, 7/10 - Mithlomion - 01-05-2007 Looks like you used my tutorials.. Its pretty good, but dont EVER save pixelart as jpg.. - Aleano - 01-05-2007 The rocket is my favorite =]. - Vans - 02-05-2007 aleano was ur post sarcastic? - Spodi - 02-05-2007 Mithlomion Wrote:Looks like you used my tutorials.. *bows* We're not worthy! We're not worthy! We're scum! We suck! - Mithlomion - 02-05-2007 Spodi Wrote:Mithlomion Wrote:Looks like you used my tutorials.. Im starting to think you are confuzing me with Belier. You know i do those tutorials to help people out? - Braydok - 02-05-2007 Yes, I did use your tutorials. I only saved some of them into jpeg, and then because on my other comp, I have vista and there are like 10 different options on how to save, but I've got it now. ![]() The next thing I have to do is the third sword tutorial, the best one, (in my opinion.) ~Braydok EDIT: Wtf? Photobucket changed the file type from .bmp to .jpg... Well, it looks the same... - Obsidian - 02-05-2007 Spodi Wrote:Mithlomion Wrote:Looks like you used my tutorials.. You're worthy, you're worthy... get up. I like them... they need some shading though. Do you have the 'wear' actually affect what the item looks like (e.g., Square shield drops below 40% durability and it looks like the used square shield)? - Mithlomion - 02-05-2007 They dont look the same when they are jpg.. zoom in and youll see. - Braydok - 02-05-2007 No, I haven't added that to my game, I'm just doing this to get better at pixelling. They look different? Hmm, I'll see if photobucket will let me change the format. Something without tutorials: Used Buckler: ![]() New Buckler: ![]() 1/10? I think that thats a good idea to make it look used, maybe I'll try and add it. ~Braydok - Reece - 02-05-2007 Where are these tutorials btw? - Braydok - 02-05-2007 http://www.key2heaven.net/ms/forums/viewtopic.php?t=524 - Aleano - 06-05-2007 Vans Wrote:aleano was ur post sarcastic? No I just thought it was cute. - bortix - 06-05-2007 Mithlomion Wrote:Looks like you used my tutorials.. Its pretty good, but dont EVER save pixelart as jpg.. so what do you consider saving them as? - funkynut - 06-05-2007 Bitmaps? - Obsidian - 07-05-2007 png at 100%? gif at 100%? - Robin - 07-05-2007 PNG is still lossy, just not as much. - Zimmyzum - 07-05-2007 Braydok Wrote:They look different? Hmm, I'll see if photobucket will let me change the format. You can't simply convert the file extension and have the lost color reappear. - Braydok - 07-05-2007 not what I meant. - Robin - 07-05-2007 No, PNG is lossy. Just hardly noticeable. - Xlithan - 09-05-2007 Spodi Wrote:Mithlomion Wrote:Looks like you used my tutorials.. Even when you post a link they still can't take the joke. haha - Matt - 09-05-2007 Haha. I get it now, I just realized those were links. I hated that movie. -_- - Aydan - 09-05-2007 with PNG theres barelly any loss except colours get slightly darker. I made a banner for an old site i made using the EXACT same colour of the sites background. Saved it as a png and the background colour (blue) was darker than the websites blue. So despite it not losing quality the colour did go darker. Atleast thats what happened to me. - Robin - 10-05-2007 Lossy can mean either colour or quality loss. PNG is lossy, if only a tiny bit. |
