Fixing up the forum - Misunderstood - 17-04-2007 It was somewhat mentioned in the Darkar thread, but this belongs in its separate thread. GSD mentioned willing to help bring the forum somewhat back to what it once was. The forum used to be a place where we all tried to help each other creating our own games. Now, we have learned a lot and all...but VB is dieing, its not even fully supported in Vista(to my knowledge) and we all think we know everything. I think if we want to fix up the forum we need to create a new engine together in a new language, such as C++(although I favor java ![]() What do you think?[you can ignore the poll if you want ![]() - GodSentDeath - 17-04-2007 Learning a new language just wouldn't be fun >.> I'd say continue with VB, but just make the engine better than the current releases of Mirage Source. Don't worry about supporting Windows 98 systems in the new source. Etc etc etc! I got WoW to play =P - William - 17-04-2007 It would probably bring a more advanced bunch of people to the community if another ms would have been created. In my opinion it would be great, but I doubt anybody will actually complete it bug free. There aint much to do to increase the forum activity, these kind of games are pretty much dieing out. Due to wow.. etc ![]() But either way, gather a team, make it happen. |
