Forum Updates - January 24th, 25th - Cruzn - 26-01-2007

As you probably have noticed, I have updated and made a few changes to the forum.

Sessions were wiped twice during my reign (=P) but the good news is that there shouldn't be too many more problems (if any). The cookie system was also reworked so I am asking everyone to (purely optional but it is in your best interest, methinks):
  • Step 1. Log out of the MS forums
  • Step 2. Clear your cookies
  • Step 3. Log back in & post!
I am hoping that everything works for IE now. If it doesn't please post in this topic or send me a PM.

You can send your hate-mail to me because William didn't change anything (in the last 2 days).

For those of you who arn't keeping up the discussion to update phpBB was here =P (a.k.a more good readings): Linky Linky

Firefox users:

Code:
Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Show Cookies -> Search for "key2heaven" -> select all the cookies that are shown (for www.key2heaven.com) and delete them.

Saves you having to re-get some cookies.

I deleted my cookies like you said to, now I have to log in twice every time I visit the forums. Cry Please help.

By the way, I'm using firefox.

Remember to select "Log me in automatically" when logging in.

It is best to use http://key2heaven.net/ms/forums/index.php to log in because you will be redirected there when you submit the log in form and then have to log in AGAIN. If you do choose to include the "www." then you will need to manually type it in after you submit the form.

Known side-effect which I will be trying to correct soon.

(Normally I'd just go ahead and change the settings but I don't want to have to keep making you guys log in. I'll rework the system next time I update / upgrade / install something)
