The default 3.0.7 is hard to use.

I am pretty sure Verrigan made a more user-friendly version (basically just 3.0.7 but with some tables added) so if you are having lots of trouble, try that version.
MySQL is confusing.
I mean very confusing!
A great tool to use is EasyPHP.
It isn't just for Mirage, it is just an easy way of using MySQL.
It is pretty self explanatory really,
