History of Mirage - dr.uber - 28-09-2009
Can anyone explain to me the history of Mirage and the engine's based upon it? So far I read, if I remember this correctly, that the process went like this:
Mirage
Konfuze
Elsyium
Eclipse
Xtreme Worlds
I just wish to know for curiosity's sakes.

Not sure about the MS, PW, and XW versions...but here's something more deep:
Konfuze Christmas > Konfuze Milestone > Konfuze Debugged > Elysium Milestone > Elysium Debugged > Elysium D-Bugged > Elysium Diamond 1 > Eclipse (not sure about the Eclipse shit, Eclipse might have came after 2) > Elysium Diamond 2 > Elysium Diamond with features? (lead to Chaos Engine) > Chaos Engine (not sure about the Chaos shit) > Elysium Diamond 3 > death.
Not sure about the Konfuze Debugged > Elysium ME part of it EXACTLY. It might have been Konfuze ME > Elysium ME or something...

I think Eclipse came when D-bugged or Debugged was made :O.
But it got its attention when it copied Diamonds preview screenshots by removign Pingu and Elysium from the screenshots xD.
Since earlier on nobody was giving a shit him being a total rip-off. Well not as much atleast.
And i dont remember there being a Elysium Milestone..
Wasnt there like Konfzue MIlestone > Elysium Buggy > Elysium Debugged?

Yeah.. thats when Pingu stormed his website and got banned lol.
He had totally stolen the Elysium previews.. before it was released.
Copied Pingu's new feature list.. wrote the exakt same thing Pingu did in the news.. promised the exact same version.. But the only thing he did was remove the Logo from the screenshot.. and Pingus name. With a black box in paint. I cant believe Eclipse became so big based on a fail rip-off.

Yeah but you can smell the retardation. And the games look quite awfull.. especially with the whole Platformer fetish everybody seem to have at Eclipse.. which looks pretty awfull using a MS based engine.

Well ive been using the same engine for the past 3 years or so
..I think im pretty much stuck with that engine forever.. I cant imagine using anything else. That'd be way to wierd.

Chris (Frozengod/Xaden) is part of G2D or something. It's a team run by a 40 year old Australian called Devogen, with his head stuck up his own arse.
Eclipse isn't too bad now. It's a bigger community, so you get a bigger group of retards, cheats and thieves, but if you filter out all those, it's a fun place to be, especially if you know a thing or two, then you're revered as a God.
