Networking Help - Anthony - 31-08-2009 Hey guys! I am not networking genius and I hope some of you here can help me out. I have a small problem with uTorrent and port forwarding ![]() I have two routers, unfortunately, the first is my DSL modem/router which was supplied by my ISP and is a pile of junk. So internet comes into the modem and the runs out through a network cable to my DLink router. The first router I have disabled the firewall and enabled DMZ to the second router so it's exposed directly to the internet and shouldn't be blocking anything right? On my DLink router I have the firewall enabled and am forwarding a single port to my wireless laptop. Windows firewall is enabled but letting connections through on this port both ways on both protocols. However uTorrent and multiple other port tests have confirmed that the port is not open.. Does anybody have any ideas of things I could try? Re: Networking Help - Matt - 31-08-2009 Just out of curiosity, have you actually tried disabling the windows firewall? Re: Networking Help - Anthony - 31-08-2009 Yeah I did try that haha... But I figured out the problem, I had the first router set to DMZ for a specified time period instead of permanently ![]() Re: Networking Help - Matt - 31-08-2009 Ah. Least it was something simple. Lol. |
