Background panorama - Inuyasha22 - 03-08-2009

Hello,

well that's what I don't know how to do it:
The RPG-Maker showed quite a nice feature with backgrounds behind the actual maps, called panorama. There could be made good use of it if you make a high location and can look at an impressing sight! Still I'm unsure how to do it.. Help... please? :?

Re: Background panorama - Toast - 04-08-2009

I would also be interested in how to do this for testing purposes.

To make a background would be the same, in theory, as adding a fringe layer per say. Instead, you would draw the layer UNDER the ground level instead of over top of it Wink that would give the background effect.

Try that and see what you can figure out.

Um yea that's easy lol, I'm talking more about like moving the texture around slightly and having a small texture "tile" effect the background.

And I guess I'll find the tutorial for this in the forums Wink?

And yes, the additional layers tutorial is in the tutorials section

Re: Background panorama - Matt - 04-08-2009

The panorama typically doesn't move at all, while the rest of the map does, or it scrolls at about 50% of the map's speed.
