How would one use the sleep function instead? Example? Also is there any benefits, because I'd be willing to convert all my sources from DoEvents if so.

Lol, the problem with sleep is that it does not allow you to do anything else, so it is basically useless. The reason you would use DoEvent is to allow users to still have some input while your code is looping. If that is what you are aiming for, stay as far away from Sleep as you can xD.

Here Ozzy suggested using DirectInput and stated that the way MS currently does things is flawed.

Re: [Optimization] Optimized DoEvents - Joost - 03-08-2009

DirectInput checks input during the loop, like any proper game does. Some things are not shitty.

[EDIT] DO NOT INSULT UGLY PEOPLE

Stop fucking deleting my posts. Just because whoever doing it is too stupid to actually read them, and figure out my point is that no real games do it, as it's a crappy method, doesn't mean they're not valuable for anyone. I am 100% right, I might be an asshole, but I clearly posted some good material. Deleting that all (regardless of who the fuck you are) makes you a fucking moron. Just fucking accept I'm always fucking right, if you don't understand my posts, GTFO.

Mmm, out of curiosity, can I just ask who deleted my post too? I don't think there was anything wrong with my post :S

Not sure. It wasn't me though. Might have been James or Rian.
