3.78 Connection Bug - Whit119o - 30-06-2009 Well, I downloaded 3.78 today to try it out, but it hangs on connect. I thought it could possibly be this computer I am using so I downloaded 3.03 which connected without a hitch. I was wondering if anyone has the fix to this problem. I have used 3.03 awhile back but like 3.78 because of all of the new changes. I tried to fix the problem myself but I am very rusty. First, I tried the ChrW$ to Chr$ fix someone posted but it did not help. I then tried to copy the 3.03 connection code back into 3.78 to see if it was a bug in the changed code; however, it made no difference. I don't know how everything in the new source code works so I figured I would ask for an explanation as to what is causing the problem and how can i go about fixing it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. Re: 3.78 Connection Bug - Jacob - 30-06-2009 There are multiple problems in 3.78. These were fixed in 3.79, you can download that from http://web.miragesource.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=5584 or http://web.miragesource.com/index.php?categoryid=8&p13_sectionid=2. If you do want to try to fix the connection issues, first check SEP_CHAR and END_CHAR on both client and server and make sure they are the same. Then make sure the port is the same on both client and server. Re: 3.78 Connection Bug - Whit119o - 30-06-2009 Thanks, I had no idea 3.79 even existed. When I get home I'll try 3.79 and see if it works. |
