MAC addresses (in most cases) can easily be changed or disguised. Or even as simple as switching from one 10 dollar wireless USB dongle to another would do the trick and put your ban system to shame.
Don't waste your time with it, go for HDD banning.

I don't agree with any of this kind of banning, even thought I do it xD. Imagine brothers plays on the same computer, one is an asshole and need to be banned and the other one does not.
Account banning and IP banning is normally enough.

Account banning is normal enough for commercial games. With small games like this, you just need to get rid of the assholes completely.
