How do i make the chat box transparent - Xeph - 15-10-2008
For my game i wish to make the Chatbox transparernt, is this possible?

Thanks , i searched first but i only got 2 results, maybe i made a spelling mistake.
I was looking for one i could put over the game screen, i think this one works so you can see the picture under it, it doesnt work over the game screen.
I should be more specific, sorry

Not necessarily, you could blit the chat onto the game screen, like the way the base MS has it's way of MyText. Then you could always render a gui around it

Yeah but if he's asking how to make a transparent rich text box then chances are he's not gonna get it to work using dx8
